Traveling with our DWI (Dogs with Issues) may take a little more planning, but it's a lot easier and more fun than leaving them behind. And just look at all the new skills Bella got to practice. The next time you're ready to hit the road things will get even easier.Amy@GoPetFriendlyhttp://www.GoPetFriendlyBlog.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4228355467064891425.post-74446945205081681022012-10-09T10:06:01.378-04:002012-10-09T10:06:01.378-04:00It really sounds like a wonderful vacation - I'...It really sounds like a wonderful vacation - I'm glad that you had a good time (and that being locked out didn't last too long). :)Pup Fanhttp://wantmorepuppies.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4228355467064891425.post-55463347686749559462012-10-05T06:32:26.232-04:002012-10-05T06:32:26.232-04:00I just luved seeing Bella doing beach zoomies! It's great that Bella likes her crate.
Sorry about the lockouts and your poor toes. Seriously though, are we related? I have to wear shoes in the house so I don't break any more toes. I broke the last one on the tray holding the dogs' dishes; at least you have the excuse that you were in a new place and weren't totally used to the layout. :)2 Punk Dogsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4228355467064891425.post-18930799698394948532012-10-02T12:10:31.509-04:002012-10-02T12:10:31.509-04:00Snuggling with the puppies is one of life's gr...Snuggling with the puppies is one of life's great joys. I'm glad this vacation gave you an opportunity to do some more Bella snuggling and that Bella obviously had such a great time.
I hope your toes are better soon. When I broke my pointer toe, I had to wear a not enclosed boot thingie for a few weeks- in northern NV- in the winter- thank goodness for layers of warm socks.ErinShanendoahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07893140867188279787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4228355467064891425.post-58361103911918185732012-10-02T11:33:32.490-04:002012-10-02T11:33:32.490-04:00Sounds like all and all (except for that pesky key...Sounds like all and all (except for that pesky key) you guys had a great trip. And how nice that Bella got so comfy in her crate, I guess maybe it was so familiar to her, it was like a home away from home. I like the image I have in my head of her looking over the wall with you guys like a regular old tourist. :-)

Meadow did surprisingly well when we took her on our vacation in Florida too. We thought she would be a lot more terrified, but she settled in surprisngly well and took it all in stride. Dogs constantly surprise us, don't they?Donnahttp://www.donnaandthedogs.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4228355467064891425.post-78321091821925363512012-10-02T11:12:57.380-04:002012-10-02T11:12:57.380-04:00Well I think it sounds like you had a good time! We spent more time trying to find a place that was good for Dec than we would ever spend looking if it was just for us! We have to accept that our boy is never going to be a beach bum... he's more of a tree hugger! I hope you and Jan don't wait so long to take your next trip together. Certainly you'll need to keep it up so Bella can benefit from the practice of staying in a new place. I bet if you went back in the spring or fall, she'd settle in much more quickly.

I'm very impressed with the way you McGyvered the door open with a plastic fork from the recycling bin. I nominate you for the person I'd most like to have on my team for survival exercises. :)Pamelahttp://www.somethingwagging.com/noreply@blogger.com
