(Click to embiggen - it's worth it!)

Because there's 15 feet of snow outside my door and I need a hint of Spring....

  1. Me too!!!!! What a pretty shot Leslie. One of the better ones this weekend. I can see all the texture of the flower. Hope you have dug out of your mess. I shoveled once (for an hour) and have another round tomorrow morning. We didn't have as much as you - thank God!

  2. Hi Leslie,

Such a hopeful hint of spring in your captivating photo.  And just as the snow had melted here, I look out my window and oops, it's coming back with a vengeance.  Stay warm.

Gary, looking very much like Penny the Jack Russell :)

  9. Woof! Woof! Mom's favorite flower.  Very curious what is the color. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  10. Hey Sugar, it's a pretty common one - various shades of pink. Jan has a few that are more rare and interesting but they're a lot smaller flower and I haven't done a good job photographing them yet.

I love them, too, but Jan is the grower. I'm just the 'appreciater'. :)

  13. I love orchids. Ours bloom in winter too which is kind of strange considering they're tropical plants.
